Breezing in :10.0, Hip 154 bred by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners goes through the ring with Top Line Sales.

The filly is the second out of the Curlin mare Curled, whose first runner hit the board in all three of her juvenile starts last year and is working regularly. Out of Grade 2-placed Sweet Cat, Curled is a half-sister to the stakes winner and Grade 2-placed Sweet Cherry Pie. The family includes Grade 1 winner Overbrook, Grade 2 winner Gluck, and Grade 1-placed Draw It among others.

Hip 154 is bred on the same WAR FRONT son x Curlin daughter cross as Grade 2 winner and multiple Grade 1-placed Big Invasion, Grade 3 winner Second of July, and two other stakes performers from 17 runners.

Coming into the ring with a stakes update is Hip 171, whose half-sister Royal Whisper became their dam’s second blacktype performer when third in the Geisha Stakes in January. The colt also saw two other siblings win or place in recent months as well.

Offered by Potrero Stables, the colt is out of the winning Discreet Cat mare Discreet Star, whose foals also include BLAME’s stakes placed Blame The Booze. All three dams on the page have produced stakes performers, Discreet Star is a half-sister to stakes winner Kitty Knight and to the dam of multiple stakes winner Wild Jacob. Meanwhile, Grade 3 winning third dam Give A Toast produced stakes winner Crafty Toast, whose three stakes performers include Grade 1 winner Army Mule.

Named War Poet, Hip 502 is offered by White Lilac after being purchased last October at Fasig-Tipton.

The colt bred by Marianne Stribling is out of the Grade 2 winner and Grade 1-placed Nicole H. That mare’s daughter Gun Song added a second win to her record on February 9 in a Gulfstream Park Allowance Optional Claiming race by 5 ¾ lengths. Nicole H is one of two stakes performers out of two-time winner Hot Chipotle alongside multiple stakes-placed Tap Attack.

Third dam Cajun Cat is also a stakes producer and daughter Miss Normal second in a Grade 1 and one other daughter not only a stakes performer but also a stakes producer with her three stakes performers including Grade 2 winner Something Extra.

A replica of his sire, Hip 584 out of multiple stakes winner Ready Signal is offered by de Meric Sales. The Todd Sheehan and John Karakourtis-bred was a $100,000 yearling purchase last September when offered by the Castle Park Farm consignment.

Ready Signal is the only stakes performer out of multiple stakes winner Marwood but three of her half-sisters have produced stakes performers. Those five stakes performers are led by multiple stakes winner Les Bon Temps with two of her sisters producing two stakes performers each.

More Than Ready mares like Ready Signal have produced three stakes performers from 35 runners by WAR FRONT sons with WAR FRONT himself having two stakes winners from seven runners out of the mares.

Hailing from the Clarkland Farm breeding program and breezing in :10.0 at the Under Tack show, Hip 790 is the first foal out of the winning Broken Vow mare Underestimate. That mare is a half-sister to stakes winner Itsmyluckycharm and three other winners out of Hard Hat. Stakes form runs throughout the family with stakes-placed third dam Bright Feather producing Grade 1 winner Albert the Great among her three stakes winners and five stakes performers.

This is a successful cross with WAR FRONT sons siring four stakes winners and six stakes performers overall out of Broken Vow, led by Grade 3 winner Fighting Seabee.

The OBS March 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale starts at 11am daily from March 12 through 14 in Ocala, Florida.
