The family includes Grade 1 winner Overbrook, Grade 2 winner Gluck, and Grade 1-placed Draw It among others.
Hip 154 is bred on the same WAR FRONT son x Curlin daughter cross as Grade 2 winner and multiple Grade 1-placed Big Invasion, Grade 3 winner Second of July, and two other stakes performers from 17 runners.
Coming into the ring with a stakes update is Hip 171, whose half-sister Royal Whisper became their dam’s second blacktype performer when third in the Geisha Stakes in January. The colt also saw two other siblings win or place in recent months as well.
Offered by Potrero Stables, the colt is out of the winning Discreet Cat mare Discreet Star, whose foals also include BLAME’s stakes placed Blame The Booze. That mare’s daughter Gun Song added a second win to her record on February 9 in a Gulfstream Park Allowance Optional Claiming race by 5 ¾ lengths. Nicole H is one of two stakes performers out of two-time winner Hot Chipotle alongside multiple stakes-placed Tap Attack.
Third dam Cajun Cat is also a stakes producer and daughter Miss Normal second in a Grade 1 and one other daughter not only a stakes performer but also a stakes producer with her three stakes performers including Grade 2 winner Something Extra.
