WAR FRONT’S Safeen Determined One Dreamer Winner

WAR FRONT’s Grade 3 winner Safeen was again in the stakes winner’s circle on Thursday with a victory in the Listed One Dreamer Stakes at Kentucky Downs.

The filly immediately jumped out ready to roll in the one-mile race over the unique course and took the lead. Breaking from a middle gate, she angled for a spot on the rail and cruised to a comfortable lead down the backstretch. Saving ground throughout the run, she was set down and asked for more in the stretch when the longtime second place horse came for her.

Safeen refused to back down and won by a head at the line for her third blacktype victory.

Bred by Shadwell Farm, the earner of $737,224 now has four victories and six other top three starts in her 15 starts.

Safeen is one of five winners out of Tafaneen, a three-quarters sister to the Grade 1 winning Riskaverse. Riskaverse is the granddam of Grade 1 winner Fog Of War and two other stakes winners. This is also the extended family of Horse of the Year Havre de Grace, four-time Grade 1 winner Tonalist, and others.

It’s been another good summer for WAR FRONT, who has registered five stakes winners since May 31.
