WAR FRONT’s Random Harvest gave her sire another international group winner on Sunday with a win in the Premio Elena e Sergio Cumani (G3) in Italy.
Shipping from trainer Ed Walker’s base in England for the affair, the filly quickly took the lead in the one-mile turf race. She was pressured just inside the final quarter with jockey Saffie Osborne waiting patiently to ask for her mount’s best. That came inside the final furlong as Osborne piloted her mount to a 1 ¾ length victory for Random Harvest’s third career win.
The filly is a homebred for Lady Bamford and one of five winners out of three-time stakes winner Seta. That Pivotal daughter was sold for 1.1 million gns in 2015 with the mare visiting WAR FRONT the following year to produce a filly by the stallion in 2017 before foaling Random Harvest in 2018.
Seta is one of five stakes winners for her own dam and hails from the family of European Horse of the Year Barathea and Irish and British champion Gossamer.
WAR FRONT is the sire of 12 stakes winners and 22 stakes performers in 2022, led by last weekend’s Grade 1 winner Annapolis.
