WAR CORRESPONDENT Runner-up in G2 Autumn S.

WAR CORRESPONDENT became WAR FRONT’s newest Graded stakes horse after a close runner-up finish in Woodbine’s Autumn S.-G2 in his stakes debut. Making his second start of the year after a four-length allowance win at a mile on the turf at Monmouth in September, the 4-year-old colt was away a bit slowly in this 1 1/16-mile event on the all-weather surface. He began his rally swinging four wide on the far turn, challenged for the lead in deep stretch and battled to the wire finishing just a neck back of a previous GSW. WAR CORRESPONDENT has three wins, two seconds and a third in just six career starts. He was a debut winner going 7 1/2 furlongs on the all-weather surface at Deauville in March of last year, and also recorded a two-length win going 1 1/4 miles on the turf at Salon three months later. Bred by Joseph Allen out of the Rahy mare Tempo West, WAR CORRESPONDENT is a full brother to multiple Grade 1 winner DECLARATION OF WAR.
