Two New Stakes winners on Saturday for BLAME, including Graded Winner ONUS

ONUS became BLAME’s third Graded stakes winner this year after her impressive 4 1/2-length win in Laurel’s Commonwealth Oaks-G3. The Stuart Janney homebred has now won three out of four starts this year, including her last three. In this race, the 3-year-old filly trained by Shug McGaughey raced up close after steadying soon after the break in this 1 1/8-mile turf test. ONUS ranged up to challenge for the lead as they turned for home and then drew off once in front. Also at Laurel on Saturday, EXAGGERATED ran her record to two wins in two starts with her own 4 1/2-length win against older fillies and mares in the Oakley S. This 3-year-old filly took over the lead after a furlong in this 5 1/2-furlong turf sprint, then spurted away from her nine rivals through the stretch to win this one while ridden out. EXAGGERATED was a $250,000 Fasig-Tipton 2013 Saratoga purchase by her current owners Lael Stables and is trained by Arnaud Delacour.
