The next to the last horse through the ring on Monday night at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale was a 3-year-old filly by FLATTER. TARIS, hip 199, was last seen winning Keeneland’s Lexus Raven Run S.-G2 by a whopping nine lengths. In the race she earned a 110 Beyer, the highest for any filly or mare in the country this year. She also won Laurel’s Wide Country S. in her first start at 3 and was a “TDN Rising Star” after her 11 3/4-length debut win in December at Aqueduct in her only start at 2. Bred by Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider out of the Theatrical (Ire) mare, Comedy, TARIS was a $90,000 purchase out of the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale. She was trained by Todd Beattie, one of seven partners who raced her in the name of Commonwealth New Era Racing. TARIS was purchased by trainer Simon Callaghan for an existing client.
