Silver State Lives Up to Name in TDN Value Sire Series

A grandson of Claiborne’s legendary sire Danzig, SILVER STATE is one of the most exciting prospects to enter stud this year. His credentials were recognized in the first part of Thoroughbred Daily News’s Value Sire series when Chris McGrath awarded him the “Silver” placing last week

Registering five 100+ Beyers, the newest Claiborne resident’s record includes eight stakes top three performances, led by the Metropolitan Handicap (G1). On top of that, the seven-time winner of over $1.9 million is out of the stakes winning Supreme, whose own dam is a full sister to Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Monarchos.

The triple threat is rounded out by an outstanding physical to make SILVER STATE an eye catching prospect for breeders at only $20,000.

As McGrath said … “Pedigree, check. Physique, check. Performance, check. If that’s not enough for you, good luck.”
