It was a second straight victory for SILVER STATE’s El Consistente on Thursday when the juvenile won an Allowance by 4 ¾ lengths.
Racing over 6 ½ furlongs on the dirt just over a month after breaking his maiden, the Eric Betancourt trainee broke well and had an early lead before a horse racing up the inside wrangled it from him. El Consistente didn’t seem bothered by not being in front, tracking the leader from a few paths off the rail down the backstretch.
Soon into the turn, El Consistente took the lead and though multiple horses made a run at him it was easy sailing. He was eased down close to the wire to win by 4 ¾ lengths to go to two wins in three career starts.
