SHOOT CRAPS Sets Course Record to Become the First 2YO Winner for Freshman Sire TRAPPE SHOT

SHOOT CRAPS became Graded stakes winner TRAPPE SHOT’s first 2-year-old winner from his first crop after battling to the wire to take a Maiden Special Weight at Belmont by 3/4 length. Making his second career start after placing on the dirt at Churchill Downs, SHOOT CRAPS broke well from post seven going five furlongs on the turf. SHOOT CRAPS battled head to head with a challenger all the way to the 1/8 pole, eventually disposing of that one, then fended off a late closer to win in a time of :57.63, setting a new course record. The $110,000 Keeneland September 2014 sales grad was bred by Glencrest Farm out of the Gone West mare Goldeni. He races for PT and K Stable under the care of trainer Dane Kobiskie.
