SHAMAAL NIBRAS Closes to Place in G3 Jebel Ali Mile

Making only his second start in Graded company, SHAMAAL NIBRAS rallied from last to place in the Jebel Ali Mile-G3. Racing a mile on the dirt, the son of FIRST SAMURAI settled in the rear early. He began his run with about two furlongs to go, then got trapped behind horses with a furlong to go but got clear and finished strongly less than two lengths off the win. Two races back, SHAMAAL NIBRAS finished full of run to win a seven-furlong Handicap here in December by 1 1/2 lengths. Also last year he was stakes placed in the HH The President Cup on the turf at Abu dhabi. With this placing in the Jebel Ali Mile-G3, SHAMAAL NIBRAS became his sire’s newest Graded stakes horse.
