PRINCE OF MONACO Represented by 20 Mares at Keeneland November

Coming into the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale one day after seeing two mares carrying his foals selling at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale, PRINCE OF MONACO has 20 set to sell during the one-week sale.

St. George Sales offers Hip 544 the young mare Queen Eli, who is already a proven producer.

The mare’s first foal is the stakes placed Young Pope, who is also closely related to her champion half-sister Rushing Fall. An unraced daughter of Candy Ride, Queen Eli is also a half-sister to the stakes winner and multiple Grade 3-placed Milam and stakes placed Autumn Song with Milam also producing the Grade 3-placed Lakota Spirit. Queen Eli is one of three stakes performers out of Autumnal with another sister producing the stakes winning Empire Line and Grade 3 placed Hang a Star.

This extended family also includes Grade 1 winners Albert The Great and Trumpet’s Blare, Grade 2 winner James Street and stakes winner and Grade 1 placed Featherbed among many others.

A Grade 2 winner goes through the ring as Hip 777 with Taylor Made on a February 21 cover.

Faypien also placed in a Grade 1 during a career that saw her hit the board in eight races for $444,775. Her produce record is also strong with each of her first two foals winning in 2025 with seven wins between them. They are the only runners for the mare, whose third is an unraced Tapit juvenile and youngest is a Charlatan yearling.

Faypien is one of five winners from six to race out of the stakes winning Mighty Eros, who is one of two stakes performers and two stakes performers out of the stakes winning Mighty Emy.

Offered as part of the Shannndoe Farm reduction is Hip 1308, the More Than Ready mare Maritime Breeze.

A placed runner on the track, the mare is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Passion for Action and the stakes placed Maritime Pulpit from three winners out of the stakes winning Maritime Passion. This page is full of stakes updates with three under her second and third dam.

Her dam’s half-sister Retraceable is the dam of stakes winner and Grade 2-placed Another Miracle but she’s also the granddam of recent Louisiana Cup Distaff winner Rising Inflation – who won her first stakes in that race – and stakes winner Alpine Princess, who added a second in the Locust Grove S. (G2) to her record as well. Privman had finished third in the Goodwood S. (G1) a few weeks ago, but he went even better on Saturday with a win in the Tokyo City Cup.

That trio is part of a group of 25 stakes performers under Maritime Breeze’s first three dams.

Another offered by Claiborne is Hip 2255, the Hard Spun mare Spindle.

This mare won on the track and finished in the top three four other times, but her biggest successes came in the breeding shed. She is the dam of four winners from five to race with that fifth runner placed this year at three. Her foals are led by the stakes winning Chiseler with her second foal being the Grade 3-placed Electability. In all, her four winners have 13 wins between them. She also has an Olympiad yearling filly and an Essential Quality weanling to come.

Spindle is following in her Grade 3 winning dam French Satin’s footsteps. That mare produced the Grade 3 winning Long Haul Bay and the stakes winning duo of Scilly Cay and Midnight Transfer in addition to Salt Plage. French Satin is also a half-sister to dual Grade 1 winner Lion Heart and Grade 3 winner Connemara.

The stakes winning Goodyearforroses sells with Taylor Made as Hip 2464 carrying her fourth foal.

A successful racemare with seven wins and four other top three finishes, led by the Gamely S. (G1), she earned $488,673. She has two racing age foals with both looking promising with placings, including her juvenile Starship Ava, who placed in her second start on October 23. She also has a Forte weanling to come.

Goodyearforroses is a half-sister to the stakes placed God’s Speed and the dam of the Group 3-placed Gryphon with their dam Guilia stakes placed herself. Guilia is also a granddaughter of New Zealand champion Lesgor.

PRINCE OF MONACO has offerings in each book from Book 2 to 4B, starting with Hip 292 during Wednesday’s session.
