Mare in Foal to Blame Brings 900K

Cut in Stone, a winning daughter of Speightstown in foal to Claiborne stallion Blame, commanded an impressive price of $900,000 during the second session of the Keeneland November breeding stock sale.

Consigned by Burleson Farms, agent, Cut in Stone was bought by Reynolds Bell for Alpha/Delta Stables.

Bred in Kentucky by Colts Neck Stables, the 4-year-old mare is a half-sister to Preakness Stakes-G1 winner Oxbow and other stakes winner Awesome Patriot (both by Awesome Again). They are out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Tizamazing, who is a full sister to Horse of the Year and prominent sire Tiznow; multiple graded stakes winner and multi-millionaire Budroyale; G2 winner Tizdubai; and stakes victor Tizbud.

Eclipse champion and three-time G1 winner Blame will stand for $25,000 in 2017.
