LUCY’S BOB BOY Wins 9th Career Stakes

LUCY’S BOB BOY ran his career earnings to $716,665 after an easy three-length win in the Frank Gall Memorial S., a race in which he won last year. The 5-year-old son of FLATTER set the pace in this seven-furlong event at Charles Town and was never really threatened after opening up around the turn and driving clear to the wire. The stakes is considered a prep for the rich West Virginia Breeders’ Classic and this field included four of its last five winners.LUCY’S BOB BOY now has 19 wins in 28 starts, nine total stakes victories, including an eight-length win as a 3-year-old against older horses in the $500,000 West Virginia Breeders’ Classic S. Bred by Robert W. Furr Sr. out of the Not For Love mare, Love for Lucy, LUCY’S BOB BOYraces for Michael Furr and is trained by Sandra Dono.
