LUCY’S BOB BOY Notches 21st Win in the A Huevo S.

LUCY’S BOB BOY won his 10th career stakes going wire-to-wire to take the 1 1/8-mile A Huevo S. by 3 1/4 lengths at Charles Town, a race in which he won last year by 8 3/4 lengths. It was also the 21st win in 31 starts for this son of FLATTER who now has career earnings of $864,805. LUCY’S BOB BOY has won stakes from 4 1/2 furlongs to 1 1/8 miles and his stakes victories include an eight-length win as a 3-year-old against older horses in the $500,000 West Virginia Breeders’ Classic S.

also shattered a track record for 6 1/2 furlongs by more than 1/2 second at Charles Town winning that race by 17 lengths. The final time of 1:16.44 broke the previous track record that had stood for nearly 37 years and was set by Jet Appeal on January 6, 1976.LUCY’S BOB BOY carried 10 pounds more than Jet Appeal did in his record setting performance.
