In his third start of the year, LEA rallied from three furlongs out to place in the $500,000 Fourstardave H.-G2 at Saratoga. In this one-mile test on the turf, the 4-year-old colt by FIRST SAMURAI again had to face Horse of the Year Wise Dan, the eventual winner of the race. One race back, LEA was runner-up, beaten just two lengths by Wise Dan, in Churchill Downs’ G2 Firecracker H. LEA now has four wins and four placings from eight starts and earnings over $318,000.
