In his first start since January, HOLLYWOOD CRITIC dueled early from between horses until the top of the stretch and then proved best pulling away down the lane to win this about seven-furlong Maiden Special Weight at Keeneland by 1 3/4 lengths. The 3-year-old colt from the first crop of BLAME had placed in four of his five career starts prior to this win, including the Grade 3 Grey S. in his second start, finishing 1 1/4 lengths off the win behind Kentucky Derby contender International Star, and a runner-up effort in the Display S. in his third start, both on Woodbine’s Polytrack.
