HELENE SUPER STAR Wins Hong Kong’s G1 Standard Chartered Champions and Chater Cup

HELENE SUPER STAR became WAR FRONT’s 10th Grade 1 stakes winner taking the Standard Chartered Champions and Chater Cup-G1 at Sha Tin. Stretching out for the first time to 1 1/2 miles in what is recognized as the final leg of the 2014/2015 Triple Crown, HELENE SUPER STAR swung three wide with about an 1/8 mile to go and out battled four others to the finish to get the hard-fought win. Earlier in the year, HELENE SUPER STAR finished runner-up in the G1 Citibank Hong Kong Gold Cup. He won the 2013 G2 UAE Derby when he was known as LINES OF BATTLE and that year was named Champion 3yo colt in UAE. He was bred by Joseph Allen out of the ARCH mare, Black Speck.

Also on Sunday, WAR DISPTACH, who is out of Photograph, a half-sister to HELENE SUPER STAR, placed in the prestigious Prix du Jockey Club-G1 at Chantilly. The Joseph Allen homebred was coming off a win in Chantilly’s Prix de Guiche-G3 and now has six wins and two placings from eight career starts.
