GET HAPPY MISTER Wins Fifth Career Stakes

Making his third start of the season after a 10-month layoff, GET HAPPY MISTER drew clear in mid-stretch to win the Aspen S. by 1 3/4 lengths at Arapahoe Park. In his first start of this year, the 4-year-old son of FIRST SAMURAI finished on the board behind multiple Graded stakes winners in Santa Anita’s $100,000 Santana Mile S. Last year, in his second start of 2013,GET HAPPY MISTER went wire to wire to take the one mile Northern Spur S. at Oaklawn by 2 1/4 lengths. During his 2-year-old campaign, he went undefeated in four starts, winning three stakes, including  a 9 1/4-length romp in the $100,000 Gold Rush Futurity, getting the six furlongs in a swift 1:08 3/5. Bred by Willard Burbach, GET HAPPY MISTER is out of the Elusive Quality mare, Sara Margaret.
