Ganaas An Eye-Catching Juvenile for WAR FRONT

Already an impressive debut winner, Ganaas was again in the spotlight on Friday at Churchill Downs with the WAR FRONT juvenile winning a Churchill Downs Allowance in his second start.

The Shadwell Stable homebred was sent to pressure the leader early in the six-furlong dirt race as he raced between runners during the backstretch run. He was ready to take command in the turn and entered the battle for the lead as the others fought to keep control of the race, but Ganaas wasn’t done yet.

Not only taking control, but also pulling away in the stretch, Edgar Morales wrapped up on his runner in the final furlong. Ganaas romped to an easy 5 ¼ length victory to take his record to two-for-two under the direction of trainer Andrew McKeever and looks to have plenty more in the tank for his sire.

Ganaas is the second winner from three runners out of Shurakaa, who is out of the champion Lahudood. Lahudood did plenty in the breeding shed as well, producing Group 2 winner Mahrajaan and stakes winner Aghareed.

Aghareed went on to produce champion Baaeed and dual Group 1 winner Hukum among her runners.

WAR FRONT is the sire of three stakes winners and seven stakes performers in 2025, led by a Grade 1 winner
