Duo In Foal to PRINCE OF MONACO On Offer at Fasig-Tipton November

The Grade 1 winning PRINCE OF MONACO was in high demand with breeders this year when breeding a Claiborne-record of 176 mares and those who missed out on getting into his book will have a chance to have a foal by the stallion with two mares carrying his foals on offer at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale.

The stakes winning Sassy Beast comes into the ring as Hip 142 carrying her second foal on a March 17 cover. She was a strong racemare with eight wins and 10 other top three finishes for $297,110 in earnings. That record includes placings in every stakes she contested with only two off-the-board finishes in her 20-race career.

By The Big Beast, Sassy Beast is one of five stakes performers out of the stakes placed I’mclassyandsassy, whose best runner is the Grade 3 winner and Grade 2-placed Obliteration, who was second in the Indian Summer S. after the catalog was released. Sassy Beast is also a full sister to stakes winner Pure Class, who finished third in the Benny the Bull H. after the catalog was released, and Grade 3-placed Big and Classy.

Her second dam is the Relaunche mare Launch Site, whose nine winners include stakes winner Fairway Road and the stakes placed duo of Vigilant Site and Launch Commander.

The stakes producing Blue Gallina is selling as Hip 198 with Wynnstay Sales.

Bred on a March 1 cover, this Street Sense mare has been a talent broodmare since the start as the dam of Grade 3 winning Flat Out Speed, who has gone on to produce the stakes placed Flat Out Time. Flat Out Time added an update to the page when she was recently second in the Glen Cove S. (G3).

The mare’s third runner was the stakes placed Bonnieview with her 4-year-old a familiar name in Grade 2 winning Can Group. The mare also has a winning filly by Authentic to take her to four winners from five to race. Blue Gallina has also been successful in the sale ring with her Jack Christopher yearling selling for $350,000 at this year’s Keeneland September Sale.

Blue Gallina is a half-sister to three winners out of six-time winner Miss Del Gallo, whose best runner is the stakes-placed Allen’s Rocket. Miss Del Gallo is also a half-sister to the stakes winning Aspen Hill, who produced Towson with Grade 1 winner Victory Speech under Blue Gallina’s third dam.

The Fasig-Tipton November Sale kicks off a big few weeks for PRINCE OF MONACO with the stallion also seeing 21 mares carrying his foals cataloged for the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
