MASTERY’s Promise Me a Ride was the second most expensive horse of Keeneland’s April Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale on Sunday after Kueber Racing, Big Easy Racing, and Martin Schwartz went to $400,000 to buy the colt.
Consigned by ELiTE as agent, Promise Me a Ride caught the eye in his debut on March 19 with a 4 ½ length Maiden Special Weight victory at Fair Grounds. He is out of the stakes inner and Grade 3 placed Promise Me More, who is the dam of two stakes performers from three to race in North Arm Bay and Warrior’s Promise.
Promise Me More is out of the stakes winner Aly’s Vow with the family also including leading sire Distorted Humor.
Promise Me a Ride is one of 38 winners for MASTERY this year, putting the stallion second among all North American third crop stallions.
