CARVE PLACES IN G1 ARKANSAS DERBY

Making only his fourth career start, CARVE got up in the late stages to place in the Arkansas Derby-G1. The son of FIRST SAMURAI sat off the pace early, moved up late in the far turn, then went inside at about the eighth pole and continued to run on late to get up for third.CARVE was a debut winner here in late January by four lengths, then won his next start here in allowance company. Out of the A.P. Indy mare, Apt, he was bred by Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider.
