BLAME’s 2YO BLAMEITONTHELAW New TDN Rising Star

Making his debut at Del Mar, BLAMEITONTHELAW drew off through the stretch to win this 5 1/2-furlong Maiden Special Weight by 4 1/4 lengths. The 2-year-old colt from the  second crop of BLAME broke well from post two then stalked the pace in third. He moved up along the rail to grab the lead by the 1/8th pole and cruised home from there. Two of his last four works leading up to this start were bullets, including a five-furlong work from the gate in :59 2/5. Bred by Northern Bloodstock Inc. out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Letter of the Law, BLAMEITONTHELAW was a $320,000 Lane’s End Bloodstock purchase out of this year’s OBS March 2YO Sale after working a strong :10 flat for a furlong at the Under Tack session. He is trained by John Sadler for Doubledown Stables, Inc.
