BLAME LEADS FRESHMAN SIRES AT KEENELAND

First crop yearlings by BLAME continue to lead the way among all yearlings by freshman sires. Hip 649, a colt out of Alchemist, by A.P. Indy, sold for $550,000 out of Book 1 of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. The colt is the highest priced yearling among all freshman sires at the sale. Consigned by Gainesway for the breeding partnership of Alexander, Groves, Matz, the May 9th foal was purchased by Black Rock, Sallusto & Albina, agent. And BLAMEcontinues to lead all freshman sires at the sales by average and median.

Other standout individuals through the ring include-
$365,000 – hip 967, colt out of La Reina, sold to Calumet Farm
$350,000 – hip 430, colt out of Shahalo, sold to Shadwell Estate Co.
$325,000 – hip 789, colt out of Contessa Halo, sold to David Redvers Bloodstock
$300,000 – hip 382, colt out of Rock Candy, sold to Shadwell Estate Co.
$285,000 – hip 156, filly out of Le Relais, sold to Katsumi Yoshida
