Avid Sucinori Romps By 12 ¼ Lengths for IRONICUS

Avid Sucinori became the newest winner for IRONICUS on Monday when the filly dominated a Finger Lakes Maiden Special Weight by 12 ¼ lengths.

One of the fastest out of the gate in the 5 ½ furlong dirt sprint, the Happy Face Racing Stable-owned filly immediately opened up the lead. Proving to be too much for the rest of the field, Avid Sucinori doubled her margin at every call and in the end won easy as she pleased.

The second place horse was 12 ¼ lengths back with the third nearly 20 lengths behind her.

Trained by Michael Ferraro, the 3-year-old has placed in the top two in five of her career starts. She was bred by Melanie Giddings in New York and is a graduate of the Fasig-Tipton New York Bred Sale.

It has been a big week for IRONICUS, who also saw Iron Pearls score a pacemaking victory at Delaware Park last Thursday.
