Making only his four career start and second start in Graded stakes company, AMI’S FLATTER closed from off the pace to finish runner-up in the $350,000 Tampa Bay Derby-G2. The 3-year-old colt by FLATTER was in sixth after the first half in this 1 1/16-mile event. He began his rally around the far turn and ran well down the stretch to finish behind only a G1 SW. AMI’S FLATTER also finished runner-up in the $100,000 Mucho Macho Man S. at Gulfstream Park in his second start after a debut MSW win on the all-weather surface at Woodbine November 9.
