Blame colt commands $390,000 at Keeneland September Sale

Eclipse Champion Blame, the #1 3rd-crop sire by lifetime Graded Stakes Horses, continues to appeal to buyers in the sales ring. Also, ranked #1 of his crop by Sales Average and Median, Blame set a new personal best when Hip 171 sold for $390,000 at Keeneland’s September Sale. It was the highest priced yearling colt of any 3rd-crop sire sold this year. The colt was purchased by agent Charlie Boden.

Through Book 3, Blame is averaging $104,571 from 21 sold. Six yearlings have brought over $100,000, including Hip 569, a colt purchased by Blanford Bloodstock for $350,000.

Also of note, Hip 210, a colt out of Be My Prospect, sold to agent JJ Crupi for $280,000.
