After a runaway win in a Maiden Special Weight at Belmont in his last start, FISH TRAPPE ROAD stepped up to stakes company and finished a strong runner-up in the $250,000 Sleepy Hollow S. at Belmont Park. Racing a mile on the main track, the 2-year-old colt from the first crop of TRAPPE SHOT took the lead soon after the break and never relinquished it until deep stretch, missing out on the win by only 1 1/2 lengths. In his maiden score, FISH TRAPPE ROAD also went to the front soon after the start, turned back a challenger on the turn and ran away from the field winning by 9 3/4 lengths going seven furlongs on a muddy track.
