BLAME GAME Impressive in Gulfstream MSW

A $200,000 Keeneland September yearling sales grad last year, first-time starter BLAME GAME showed his readiness for the races with a 3 1/4-length win at Gulfstream Park. Breaking from the inside post in this Maiden Special Weight field of nine going six furlongs, the 2-year-old colt from the first crop of Champion BLAME broke a little slowly. He soon moved up on the inside only to drop back a bit so he cold get a better position on the outside of the top three. John Velazquez and BLAME GAME were three wide moving up on the frontrunners around the turn and challenged for the lead as they hit the top of the stretch. He battled with another until taking over in mid-stretch and drew clear for the win. Bred by Stone Farm out of La Pascua (SWI), by Caerleon, the Todd Pletcher trainee races for Alto Racing.
