LIABLE, the dam of 2010 Eclipse Champion Older Male and Claiborne stallion BLAME, was given the prestigious title of 2010 Broodmare of the Year on April 29.
BLAME, winner of the historic G1 Breeders’ Cup Classic in 2010, and 2011 stakes winnerTEND (by Dynaformer) are among LIABLE’s best progeny.
A daughter of Seeking the Gold, LIABLE is out of the stakes-winning mare BOUND. A magnificent family, BOUND is a half-sister to NUREYEV as well as FAIRY BRIDGE, the dam of record-breaking sire SADLER’S WELLS.

LIABLE was bred by Claiborne Farm and Nicole Perry Gorman. She becomes the third Broodmare of the Year for Claiborne Farm, who celebrated 100 years in 2010.
Furthermore, BLAME was named Kentucky’s Champion Handicap Horse of 2010. A four time grades stakes winner last year, BLAME won the G1 Stephen Foster H. and the G1 Whitney H. in addition to his Breeders’ Cup score. Retired to stud after his tremendous 2010 campaign,BLAME is the son of Claiborne stallion ARCH.
