MASTERY daughter Goodgirl Badhabits looks like another good filly for her sire after a 12 ¾ length romp on debut at Laurel Park.
The rest of the field never had a chance in the 5 ½ furlong dirt race with Goodgirl Badhabits taking the lead almost immediately. The Brittany Russell trainee opened up on the field quickly and there was no call where she was less than three lengths ahead.
It only got better from there with the 3-year-old increasing that margin with every stride to win by 12 ¾ lengths as the heavy favorite with the third place finisher 15 lengths behind.
Bred by Lisa Reynolds, Jennifer Feiner, and Woods Edge Farm, Goodgirl Badhabits races for Jim Bakke and Gerald Isbister and has recorded two bullets in her last four works.
A $135,000 Keeneland September yearling, Goodgirl Badhabits is a half-sister to stakes winner and Grade 2 placed Dazzling Gem and stakes winner Rose to Fame.
MASTERY is having a big 2023 with his 26 winners the second best of all third crop sires, including the graded stakes winning Surprisingly.
