MASTERY’s Hazy Command took her earnings over $231,000 on Friday with a three length Allowance victory at Oaklawn Park.
Racing in midpack for much of the six-furlong race, Hazy Command made her move late in the turn as she rolled along the rail to gain multiple positions. She gave up that path as the field entered the final furlong to challenge the leader and took over the lead with a sixteenth to go. From there, it was smooth sailing as she romped to her three-length win over BLAME’s multiple stakes placed Hypersport.
It was the third win for the MASTERY daughter, who has hit the board in 10 of her 12 starts and earned over $200,000 in nine starts this year alone.
Trained by Tom Amoss for Late Night Stables, she was bred by Belvedere Farm.
MASTERY’s runners continuously prove to be consistent racehorses with 15 runners hitting the top three in the past month. That group includes an impressive juvenile winner at Churchill Downs with placers also coming at Woodbine, Fair Grounds, and Gulfstream Park.
