It was stakes winner number 39 for BLAME on Saturday when Acting Out impressed at Oaklawn Park in the Listed Carousel Stakes.
The gray mare broke well out of the gate to immediately go to the lead as they started their six furlong journey and the race was her’s to lose. She had a shadow for much of the early run until leaving that one behind to open up a little over a length on the field in the stretch.
Multiple graded stakes winner Frank’s Rockette tried to run her down in the final furlong but Acting Out had plenty left to hold her at bay for a half-length victory.
Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer for Sherman Racing, Zvika Akin, and Robert Harkins, Acting Out is the winner of five of 12 races with eight top two finishes for nearly $325,000 in earnings with wins in her last two starts.
