Coming off a win in the Holy Bull S.-G2 last month, UPSTART rallied from just off the pace to finish first in the $400,000 Fountain of Youth S.-G2 but was later moved to second. The 3-year-old son of FLATTER made a strong move down the stretch and continued that rally to the wire. Last year, UPSTART won Saratoga’s Funny Cide S., was runner-up in the Champagne S.-G1 , and placed in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile-G1.
