Stakes Performances by FLATTERING BEA and NEEDMORE FLATTERY

NEEDMORE FLATTERY, a 3-year-old filly by FLATTER, won the six stakes of her career taking the Tomboy S. by 1 1/2 lengths. This 1 1/16-mile event at Belterra Park was her first stakes win around two turns. Last year at two she put together a string of four straight stakes victories.

 

On the Black-Eyed Susan undercard, FLATTERING BEA battled the entire way to finish runner-up in the six-furlong $100,000 Skipat S. on a sealed sloppy track. The 4-year-old filly byFLATTER disputed the pace from the break with her head in front most of the way and just got passed near the wire to finish 3/4 length from the win. FLATTERING BEA, who has finished first or second in eight of her last ten starts, was coming off a win in the $200,000 Sugar Maple S. presented by CANTER Mid-Atlantic S. She now has earnings of over $317,000.
