3YO QUAVER Becomes Newest Stakes Horse From First Crop

Coming off a Maiden Special Weight win at Belmont in May, QUAVER immediately stepped up into the stakes ranks and finished strongly to be runner-up in Monmouth Park’s Crank It Up S. Making only her third start, the 3-year-old filly from the first crop of Champion BLAME raced off the pace early in this about 5 1/2-furlong turf event. QUAVER began her rally on the turn and and continued it on through the stretch run to finish less than two lengths back of an already multiple stakes winner. It was nearly seven lengths back to the third-place horse. QUAVER becomes the sixth stakes horse from her sire’s first crop.
