NEEDMORE FLATTERY won for the 11th time in 18 career starts taking the First Lady S. by three lengths. The 3-year-old filly by FLATTER rallied at the top of the stretch and then drew off late in this six-furlong sprint on the first Saturday of racing at the newly opened Mahoning Valley Racecourse. NEEDMORE FLATTERY was also winning her 10th career stakes and pushed her earnings to $383,900. The Bruce Ryan & Blazing Meadows Farm homebred trained by Timothy Hamm won four consecutive stakes last year as a 2-year-old and has won stakes at four tracks and at distances from 5 1/2 furlongs to 1 1/8 miles.
