AVENGE won her third straight race in five career starts taking the Ultrafleet S. on the downhill turf course at Santa Anita. The 3-year-old filly by WAR FRONT was checked in behind the front two heading into the stretch. She then swung out four wide, was squeezed between horses in the stretch but fought her way through to get the win by a head. She becomes the seventh 3-year-old stakes horse for WAR FRONT. Out of Lerici by Woodman, AVENGE was bred by Lerici Syndicate and purchased for $650,000 out of the 2013 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Yearling Sale. She is trained by Richard Mandella for owner Ramona Bass.
