$3.2 Million WAR FRONT Weanling Sets North American Record

On Day Two of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale, the three highest priced weanlings were all by WAR FRONT. Leading the way was hip 451, a filly out of broodmare of the year Take Charge Lady. She was consigned to the sale by her breeder Eaton Sales and was purchased by Whisper Hill Farm, LLC for $3.2 million, a North American record for a weanling sold at public auction. Also on Tuesday, hip 423, a colt out of Serena’s Cat went to M.V. Magnier for $2.6 million. Bred by Dell Ridge Farm & Hill ‘n’ Dale Equine Holdings and consigned Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent, the colt is a half-brother to G1 winner Honor Code and G2 winner Noble Tune. And hip 491 brought $2 million from Willis Horton. The filly is out of G1 winner Awesome Maria and was bred by Rhinestone Bloodstock and consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent.

In addition to his weanlings, hip 455, the young Galileo (IRE) mare Terrific (IRE) in foal to WAR FRONT was purchased by the Haefner family’s Moyglare Stud Farm for $1.9 million. The mare is a full sister to Champion Together (IRE) and a half-sister to G1 SW Jan Vermeer (IRE) and was bred by Lynch Bages Ltd. & Camas Park Stud and consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent.
