2YO GO GREELEY WINS WOODBINE’S COLIN S.

Making his third start, GO GREELEY put in a front running  performance to take the $140,000 Colin S. at Woodbine. The 2-year-old colt from the second crop of HORSE GREELEY went to the front soon after the break and set solid fractions of :22 and :44 4/5 in this six-furlong event. Always at least 1 1/2 lengths in front of the nearest challenger, GO GREELEY kicked clear down the stretch to win by 2 1/2 lengths. Tuscan Getaway, a 2-year-old son of STROLL, finished third.

Owned and trained by John A. Ross, GO GREELEY won his debut in a strong hand ride by 3 3/4 lengths. The final time was just a second off the track record. In his second start, the Shannon Farms bred colt out of the Smoke Glacken mare, Orchids Halo, finished runner-up, beaten a slight nose, in the $150,000 Clarendon S.
