A gray colt by RUNHAPPY was in high demand at this week’s Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale with West Point Thoroughbreds and Mike Lyden purchasing the Denali Stud offering for $230,000.
The colt comes from a proven family with his dam Callista already producing stakes winner Diamond City and Grade 2-placed Barista from two foals of racing age. Callista is a full sister to the stakes winning Sweet Tapper and Grade 3-placed American Seed in addition to being a half-sister to Grade 2-placed Perregaux.
There are stakes winners under each of the yearling’s four dams on the page with the names listed including Grade 1 winners Include Me Out and Check The Label plus Grade 3 winner Silver Medallion.
The colt is bred on the same RUNHAPPY x A.P. Indy sireline cross that includes multiple stakes winner and multiple graded stakes winner Happy Soul and the stakes-placed duo of Runway Magic and Happy Boy Rocket.
