WAR OF WILL Juvenile Romps at Thistledown

For the second time in just a matter of days, WAR OF WILL scored another winner when Streets of War romped by 8 ½ lengths in a Thistledown Maiden Special Weight.

Going off as a heavy favorite after registering two bullets in his last three works, Streets of War showed why bettors had faith with him when going straight to the lead. Though the race was only five furlongs on the dirt, the gelding was so superior to his rivals that he was able to easily pull away with every stride.

In the end, he won by 8 ½ lengths with the third placed runner 10 ½ lengths behind the winner to take his record to a win and a third in two starts.

Streets of War is owned and trained by Nestor Rivera, who purchased him as a 2-year-old from Top Line Sales last year. It was the Michael Dowd-bred’s second time going through the ring after selling for $140,000 as a weanling during the 202 Fasig-Tipton November Sale.

Streets of Waris the second foal out of a half-sister to dual Grade 1 winner Cave Rock and three other winners out of Grade 3 winner Georgie’s Angel. That mare is one of two graded stakes winners for her own Dynaformer dam.

WAR OF WILL is the sire of four winners – good for fifth in the crop – with two stakes performers, to sit second in that category as well.
