2019 Preakness Stakes winner War of Will (WAR FRONT) earned his first Grade 1 victory on turf over the weekend, joining the elite group of runners to have G1 wins on both dirt and turf.
With Tyler Gaffalione in the driver’s seat, the 4YO son of WAR FRONT battled down to the wire to win the $300,000 G1 Maker’s Mark Mile at Keeneland for trainer Mark Casse, owner Gary Barber.
Bred in Kentucky by Flaxman Holdings Limited, War of Will is out of the Sadler’s Wells mare Visions of Clarity (IRE), a half sister to multiple Grade 1 winner and sire Spinning World. War of Will’s total career earnings have now reached over $1,796,00.
