WAR FRONT’s War Bomber Takes Out Seagram Cup (G3)

WAR FRONT’s stakes winning War Bomber scored his first graded stakes victory on Sunday with a win in the Seagram Cup (G3).

The 1 1/16 mile all weather race saw War Bomber fly out of the gate and control the pace from the start. The gelding had to deal with challenges throughout as he raced in the two path and drifted out as he came into the stretch.

Clayton took another shot at him at that point but War Bomber was not to be denied and despite a late closing runner had three quarters of a length on the field in the end. He was one of two stakes performers for WAR FRONT on Sundaywith Belgrano finishing second in the Rainbow Heir 20 minutes before War Bomber’s victory.

Trained by Norman McKnight for Bruno Schickedanz, War Bomber is the winner of five races for $212,392 in earners with a victory in the Listed Toronto Cup also on his resume.

War Bomber is a full brother to WAR FRONT’s champion Lancaster Bomber and a half-brother to Excelebration in addition to multiple group winner Mull of Killough and multiple stakes winner Shivalik Showers. The family also includes War Bomber’s dual Group 1 winner Sarah Siddons, and Group 1 winners Princess Pati, Wicklow Brave, and Leggera.

WAR FRONT is the sire of eight stakes winners and 19 stakes performers with 12 of those earning blacktype at the graded stakes level.
