SOUPER COLOSSAL remains unbeaten in his first two starts after an impressive 3 3/4-length win in Monmouth’s Tyro S. After stumbling coming out of the gate in this five-furlong race, the 2-year-old colt by WAR FRONT recovered to move up along the rail and dueled with a horse on his outside. After putting away that foe, SOUPER COLOSSAL was met by another challenger but soon spurted way from that one at the top of the stretch and then extended his lead to the wire in hand as the heavy favorite. A $350,000 Saratoga Sales graduate, SOUPER COLOSSAL was bred by Moyglare Stud and races for Live Oak Plantation. The Eddie Plesa Jr. trainee won his Maiden Special Weight debut here June 7th by 1 3/4 lengths.
