WAR FRONT’s Full Count Felicia was in demand at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale on Monday night when a bidding war saw her hammer for $1 million to Willingham Stud.
The mare has been a successful racemare for years with seven wins and three other top three finishes in 19 starts for $776,354 in earnings. The mare reached the height of her career two starts before she went through the ring when she ran away with the E.P. Taylor S. (G1) by 3 ½ lengths.
Full Count Felicia is one of three winners from four to race out of the Galileo mare Claire de Lune, who registered that third winner when her daughter Random Harvest won two races after the catalog was released. Claire de Lune is one of five stakes performers out of the stakes placed Solo de Lune, whose runners include Group I winners Moonstone and Cerulean Sky.
Two dams fill up Full Count Felicia’s page with that group including 15 stakes winner and five other stakes performers.
WAR FRONT has sired eight stakes winners and 17 stakes performers in 2024.
