WAR FRONT’s $1.45 Mil., $1 Mil., and $900,000 Yearlings Are Top 3 at Keeneland Day 1

In the opening session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, the top three highest priced individuals were all by WAR FRONT. Leading the way was hip 116, the Whisper Hill Farm bred filly out of the G3-placed Galileo mare Betterbetterbetter (IRE) that went for $1,450,000 to Shadwell Estate Company Ltd. The second highest priced horse was hip 99, another filly that was bred by Breffni Farm out of Azzedine, by Mr. Greeley, and purchased for $1,000,000 by R. S. Evans. And the highest priced colt of the day and the third highest priced yearling of the session was hip 106, a Ramona Bass bred yearling out of the G2-winning ARCH mare, Bauble Queen. He was purchased by John Ferguson on behalf of Sheikh Mohammed. For the first session, WAR FRONT had seven individuals sold and led all sires with an average of $736,429.
