Two-year-old Son of FLATTER Shines on Debut at Keeneland

Eucharist, a two-year-old son of Claiborne’s FLATTER, broke his maiden on first-asking opening weekend of the Keeneland Fall meet for conditioner Rodolphe Brisset and owner/breeder WinStar Farm.

Going six furlongs on the dirt in maiden special weight company with Luis Saez up, Eucharist broke well and vied for the lead going three wide around the far turn, then shook clear as the field of eight hit the top of the stretch. The son of FLATTER crossed the wire a length ahead of Vegas Guy in a final time of 1:11.46.

Bred in Kentucky by WinStar Farm LLC, Eucharist is out of the stakes-winning Street Boss mare, Boss Barney’s Babe – herself a half-sister to Meribel, who won or placed in five graded stakes.
