TWO STAKES PERFORMERS FOR FIRST SAMURAI

SWIFT WARRIOR and KING SAMURAI are two new stakes horses for Freshman SireFIRST SAMURAI.

SWIFT WARRIOR earned the first black-type performance of his career with his second place finish in the $85,000 Foolish Pleasure Stakes going one mile and seventy yards at Calder Race Course. He finished less than two lengths away from the winner. He has won or placed in four of his six starts and he has earned $44,540.

Later in the evening, KING SAMURAI turned in his black-type performance with a second place finish in the $100,000 Fitz Dixon, Jr. Memorial Juvenile Stakes going six and one-half furlongs at Presque Isle Downs. Setting all the pace, he defeated all but one. He has never been worse than third in in his five career starts and he has earned $73,700.
