THREE NEW WINNERS IN FIVE DAYS FROM FIRST CROP

BEMATA, a 3-year-old son from HORSE GREELEY’s first crop, closed with good energy in the final furlong of a six-furlong Maiden race at Oaklawn to get the win by 3/4 length on 2/10. Last year, he placed in Maiden Special Weights at Keeneland, in his debut, and at the Fair Grounds. Also on 2/10, the 3-year-old filly MAGIC CHARM pressed the pace throughout and eventually won a long duel to come out on top in 6 1/2-furlong Maiden at Tampa Bay. She was coming off an on-the-board finish in her Maiden Special Weight debut. And on 2/14, HORSE GREELEY’s son SNUB lost the lead, then regained it back in the stretch to edge clear by a length in a seven-furlong Maiden event at Charles Town.
